Projections of planes.<br><strong>Module II (14 hours &#8211; 2 drawing exercises)<\/strong><br>Orthographic projection of solids in simple position &#8211; projections of frustum and truncated solids &#8211; projection of solids with axis inclined to one or both the planes &#8211; projections on auxiliary planes &#8211; primary and secondary auxiliary projections &#8211; projections of solids in combination.<br><strong>Module III (18 hours &#8211; 3 drawing exercises)<\/strong><br>Sections of solids by horizontal, vertical or inclined planes &#8211; true shape of section. Development of surface of solids, sectional solids, solids having hole. Intersection of surfaces &#8211; intersection of prism in prism, cylinder in cylinder and cylinder in cone.<br><strong>Module IV (14 hours &#8211; 2 drawing exercises)<\/strong><br>Introduction to isometric projection &#8211; isometric scale &#8211; isometric view &#8211; isometric projections of solids, frustums &amp; truncated solids and their combinations. Conversion of pictorial projection to orthographic projection.<br><strong>Module V (16 hours &#8211; 3 drawing exercises)<\/strong><br>Introduction to machine drawing &#8211; screwed fastening &#8211; bolts and nuts &#8211; cap screw &#8211; machine screw &#8211; set screw &#8211; locking arrangements &#8211; foundation bolts. Graphic symbols used in engineering. Simple and Sectional views of Knuckle joint &#8211; protected type flanged coupling, bushed bearing &#8211; socket &amp; spigot pipe joint.<br>Note: All drawing exercises mentioned above are for class work.
